Starting with the biggest award – Oscar for the Best Motion Picture of the Year – it goes to 12 YEARS A SLAVE. I must say it’s probably the most deserving movie for this category. It had nearly everything that a good movie needed to grab Best Picture Oscar. Steve McQueen and his team will stand tall among the other Oscar Winners 2014.

One of the biggest debates – like every year Leonardo DiCaprio was nominated – is whether Leo DiCpario will win an Oscar this time or not. Sorry to disappoint his fans, but he hasn’t won this time either – alas! I’m a great fan of his work in THE WOLF OF WALL STREET, but hey! Matthew McConaughey – the winner of Oscar for Leading Role Male – was nothing short of brilliant in DALLAS BUYERS CLUB.

GRAVITY seems to have caught the eye of the jury as it has grabbed the most Oscar 2014 winners this time. Interestingly, Alfonso Cuaron has won, the Oscar for Best Achievement in Directing – which was being debated and a couple of other frontrunners were the favorites – including Steve McQueen and David O. Russell.
